PARTNERSHIPS
With great fortune, we have formed five main partnerships with local and international organizations that assisted in executing this project, as its magnitude required a collective effort and mobilization of financial resources.
It’s an international organization whose mission is to bring “meaningful and lasting change to the lives of children and youth”. They primarily focus on child health, children and youth migration, and access to justice. Their actions include providing healthcare, improving sanitation, protection to children who are to be abused or exploited, etc.
Their contribution to our project:

Help to cover the costs of acquiring the bicycles in the first stage of the project.

Help with the designation of funds towards the project.
An organization based in Tola, Nicaragua, where Limón is situated. Their mission is to “Assist in economic development and to provide select social services to the local community”. Their primary actions are providing educational programs like English and music, but not only that they also teach job skills like carpentry. They’ve also provided many facilities for physical activities, as well as a livestock farm.

The organization prides itself on being a meeting place for the community, offering many recreational activities for young people.

Their contribution to our project:

They are in charge of identifying the first participants to attend the bicycle repair and refurbishment course.
They provide the space to set up the bicycle workshop.
One of the very few clinics in the community that is open 24 hours. Not only is the clinic involved in giving treatment, but it also takes part in several projects for disease prevention, such as teaching about nutrition or providing safe cleaning water sources. They also developed a program called "padrinos," which provides 62 children with school supplies.
Their contribution to our project:
Help to identify the project's beneficiaries (mainly the children who need the bikes the most) and establish connections with teachers, communities, and their families.

Share information about local schools and how many children live long distances from the schools. In the long term, they will monitor that the bicycles are being used correctly.
Is a non-profit organization that promotes the integral development of children, adolescents and their families through education, participation, medical assistance, sports, culture, recreation, promotion, defense of their rights and technical training.
FODI, through its Technical Training Center (CEFODI), organizes courses in Technical Education and Vocational Training, whose main beneficiaries are workers in the informal economy and their families. FODI has decentralized its courses in various parts of Nicaragua in the most vulnerable communities of the country.
Their contribution to our project:
They are responsible for conducting technical training courses on the repair and refurbishment of bicycles.

Execute the bike workshop's installation alongside the help of Baiskeli and the funding by Terre Des Hommes.
Baiskeli Tanzania 2020 is a solidarity project that focuses on the power and strength of the bicycle as a tool to foster community development in rural areas of developing countries in the south of the world.
